Q: I feel self-conscious about my writing. Do I have to share?

Our consultation sessions are safe spaces where you get to explore your storytelling craft. Our goal is to support your unique process and nurture your growth and development as an author. You are free to share as much or as little of your writing as you are comfortable with. We can work with you at any stage in the writing process and honor your comfort level for sharing your ideas and stories.

Q: Do you offer revisions?

We do not offer any revisions with our standalone editing services. Reviewing and reediting revisions often takes a considerable amount of time and effort, so if you would like to work on multiple revisions, we recommend looking at one of our editing packages.

Q: Do I need a copyedit or a line edit?

It all depends on where you are in the creative process. If you have a solid manuscript that is already clear and reads well, a copyedit is the right fit to correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. If you need a deep edit to improve the flow and tighten up the language, a line edit is for you.

Q: What is the difference between a copyedit and a line edit?

A line edit focuses on the creative aspects of the text, including the language and writing style at the sentence and paragraph level. The purpose of a line edit is to make the text clear, fluid, and enjoyable to read—but it does NOT focus on catching errors. That is where a copyedit comes in!
